23-year-old Julia Terpak describes herself as curious, passionate, and determined to leave behind a meaningful legacy. A few years ago, she felt there were few initiatives to reach Gen Z effectively, and In 2020, she decided to take action. She used her passion for content creation, dialogue, and curious nature to create a platform to connect Gen Z’ers and start conversations around important topics. “There are various topics that we are not giving them the time they desperately need to push humanity forward,” she said. "I wanted to create a platform to focus on these productive conversations.”

Julia soon realized that her platform was making an impact on its users. “I found my voice when I saw that people were resonating and interested in the outlooks that I was sharing,” she said. “Whether it was good or bad conversation, my content was starting conversations that I believe needed to happen.”
Julia is the founder of Gen Z Connect, an online community promoting relevant discussions to motivate Gen Z to better themselves and our future. She works to create content to connect Gen Z to the issues facing their generation. “I take an open-minded approach to every conversation to push unity,” she said.
As an exceptional Gen Z’er making an impact, Julia was honored for her dedication to Unification through The ConversationaLIST. She uses her voice for good by inviting dialogue from those across the political or social spectrum. “I try to take an unbiased approach to every conversation I entertain, as I know everyone's point of view comes from some form of personal experience and makes sense to them because of it,” she said.

For Gen Z’ers who are still seeking to find their voice, Julia suggests they keep moving forward and building connections. “There are billions of people on Earth,” she said. “There are bound to be a handful that resonates with your vision and mission,” she said.
In five years, Julia hopes to have worked on a campaign to support a candidate she values. She wants to continue supporting organizations that she believes in and use her voice to unite Gen Z. “I hope to stay curious and continue creating content for those who want to continue relevant discussions surrounding Gen Z and the time we are living in,” she said.
Julia resonates with The Conversationalist’s mission because her organization also wants to empower Gen Z. She looks forward to conversing about the future of technology, education, and work culture.
To unify the world, Julia hopes we can get rid of the terms ‘the left’ and ‘the right.’ “We need to understand that everyone's perception is based on their personal experience, and then we need to approach every conversation with this in mind,” she said. “When we can do that, we will be able to create an unbelievable amount of unity.”
“I try to put myself in other people's shoes because that is truly the only way to grasp their being.”
To break open her echo chamber, Julia stays open to hearing about the experiences of people who have walked a different path in life. “I try to put myself in other people's shoes because that is truly the only way to grasp their being,” she said.
